Adam Lambert [HQ VID] - "Mad World by Tears for Fears (1982) // American Idol 2009 [ TOP8 ] APRIL 7

Adam Lambert gave a stunning performance of "Mad World" tonight on American Idol that resulted in Simon giving him a standing ovation. Unfortunately, the live show ran more than 5 minutes over on the East Coast.
Which means a lot of people who recorded it missed seeing it and wound up screaming at their TV, me included!

Go here to see it.

Going gourmet tonight!

I had a dream about a recipe I used to make years ago that my husband loves so I thought I would make it for him tonight.***WE WOULD RATE THIS RECiPE AS 10/10!!! YUMMO!!***

It's called:
COQUILLES ST. JACQUES
1/2 lb. sm. shrimp
1 lb. scallops
1 1/2 c. thick cream sauce
1/2 c. dry white wine
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 white onion, grated
4 tbsp. grated cheese
Salt and pepper
8 mushrooms, sliced
Butter
Crumbs
Parmesan cheese
Pimento
Place shrimp and scallops in a saucepan with 1 tablespoon butter and cover and steam for 4 minutes. Make at thick cream sauce with white wine, parsley, nutmeg, onion, and cheese added and keep hot in a double boiler. Saute the mushrooms in a little butter. Add the fish and mushrooms to the cream sauce. Place in either a shallow baking dish or individual ramekins (or shells) and top with a sprinkle of crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Broil until golden brown and serve. Serves 4-6.
